They’re nimble nectar sippers and insect gleaners, often visiting Bottlebrush and other native shrubs where pollen dusts their faces as they feed. Photographing birds is my favourite subject and moments like this often come down to luck, being in the right place at the right time. It’s pure fun to glimpse their world up close and appreciate how beautiful these small birds really are.
