This metallic glass print looks straight down into a Iris flower with a calm, geometric symmetry. Broad white petals stretch like blades, each brushed with golden yellow, while a soft lilac rosette curls at the centre. Detail is crisp, the background falls to a smooth green blur, so the bloom reads cleanly and feels modern on the wall.
These flowers rise on long stalks. I found a stand of them circling a White Cedar tree, several plants throwing up tall blooms at once. From directly above they become wonderfully architectural, delicate in texture yet bold in shape, so I worked overhead to capture that ordered sweep.
What I love most about this metallic glass print is the quiet logic of threes. Three outer petals, three inner forms, and a three-colour palette, white, yellow, and purple, locking into balance. The deep green background frames the bloom without distraction, letting the structure hold centre stage.
