I shot this image in the Whitsundays, not far from Airlie Beach, on a beautiful winter morning. With no wind to disturb the surface, the sea lay utterly calm and mirror-smooth. The shallow depths allowed the sunlight to penetrate and intensify the water’s colour, turning every ripple into a glowing aquamarine canvas for this metallic glass print.
What I love most about this metallic glass print is the striking contrast between the vessel’s bright white form and the rich, vibrant hue of the water. I’m drawn to how the endless stretch of sea feels both immense and inviting, making the catamaran seem wonderfully small against nature’s scale.
